On 3 and 4 July 2017, CIAPE attended the second transnational meeting of My Gender Rights project, in Berlin (Germany).
The project seeks to provide centres and organisations that care for unaccompanied migrant minors with educational and training tools on gender equality.
The meeting has been the occasion for the partners to fine-tune the content and design of a cartoon conceived for young unaccompanied migrants in order to approach the issue of gender equality, by taking into account a series of circumstances and events which are typical of everyday life.
The partners also presented the first achievement of an educational quiz game, thought to convey to young unaccompanied migrants information on gender equality related to the national contexts of each consortium partner (Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Turkey, UK).
Finally, an outline for the collection of a series of interview-testimonies from former unaccompanied minors, having relevant stories to share, has been approved. The shootings will take place in October (for further info, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org).
During the next months, CIAPE will be responsible for setting up and editing a Guide, aimed at collecting stories and experiences of young migrant concerning the gender equality difficulties they met when arriving in their host countries.
