Networking & Peer Learning events.

Three days of full residential immersion in which professionals and representatives of good practices relating to a specific theme alternate on stage illustrating the excellence they represent through a 30-minute talk. The first edition, held in Fiuggi in February 2023, dealt with the theme of conscious parenting with 20 experts from different regions of Italy. Boosting impact on Social Media for the non profit.

Nowadays it is very important for each organisation to communicate through multiple channels, in order to promote the results achieved, the opportunities offered and the activities implemented. But it is crucial to use each channel appropriately and as part of a cohesive overall strategy. This training is aimed at offering a very practical insight into Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Linkedin, Istagram, Tik Tok and Google Ads, understanding how to use them in the most appropriate way to create powerful campaigns with a strong, clear, recognizable voice and a presence that communicates consistent messages.

Since 2021 CIAPE coordinates a Consortium for the mobility of adult education operators within the Erasmus + program. The idea raised with the aim to offer concrete support to organizations that promote and deliver continuous learning services for adults, favouring an update in the light of the new global scenarios. Indeed, in relation to recent developments in the health emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, a rethinking of methodologies, processes and activities that meet both the needs of adult learners and operators in the sector is increasingly necessary and urgent.

The consortium members can benefit from the opportunity to carry out a training period abroad aimed at acquiring the following skills:

– Know how to seize European funding opportunities: knowledge of project management; main direct and indirect financing programs; techniques for drafting an efficient project proposal; reporting techniques and effective communication tools.

– Improve digital skills: ability to use new technologies; development of online content in relation to the typicality and needs of the target group; making learners responsible for the correct use of the internet and new technologies; identification of free and open source resources with a view to inclusion of learners with fewer opportunities.

– Develop training approaches aimed at strengthening the soft skills of adults: training methodologies that encourage autonomy, being empathically creative, decisive and proactive.

– Assimilate strategies aimed at empowerment and opportunities for the inclusion of the most vulnerable adults (disabled, migrants, refugees, etc.).

– Promote knowledge of the common heritage and European values: awareness of European identity by sharing history, art and common values ​​in the territories of the participants and at the same time providing the necessary tools to counter the rampant Euroscepticism among adults.

– Support the development of professional networks throughout Europe and the expansion of the network of partner organizations: promote the transnational exchange of good practices and innovative methodologies; knowing how to operate at a transnational level; promote participation in networking opportunities; acquire different modus operandi and organizational models by capturing aspects to be replicated in one’s own organization; activation of relations with European organizations that are functional to participation in projects to be submitted for European calls.

I met CIAPE in Berlin for the first time in 2018, and precisely during a European project aimed at sharing good practices and tools about work-based-learning. The following year we collaborated in the frame of an Erasmus+ KA3 project aimed at innovating career orientation services for the Generation Z. One year later, we worked together on a training about empathy, held in Denmark. Finally, we attended together a transnational training held in Spain about the use of video and gamified tools in class-based courses. The projects carried out together with CIAPE are always well organized, innovative, stimulating, and managed with enthusiasm and dedication. CIAPE's strength lies precisely in its collaborators, who passionately nurture this focus of knowledge and transfer it professionally to customers and partners. I am glad and pleased to work with them, since I share these values.

On November 2018, CIAPE organised for us a short-term joint staff training event “International study visit for VET teachers on workplace learning and cooperation with world of business” in the scope of the project “CREATOR: Experimental Approach to Teaching Entrepreneurship through Workplace Training”. I remember it as an amazing experience with CIAPE team: smart people and great cooperation. Three wonderful days in Rome supporting European VET teachers in their International learning experience!

Thanks to CIAPE, three students of the VET school Aterno-Manthonè adult course in Pescara (Abruzzo, IT) participated in the exciting European contest "Jobs of the Future", being awarded as the Italian winners. The initiative was launched by the FUTURE Time Traveller project consortium, of which CIAPE is part, and co-funded by the European Commission.

We at CRE.THI.DEV started our collaboration with CIAPE during the TECLO project, in 2015, soon recognised as a European best practice. Quickly, over the following years, our collaboration bloomed into a multitude of joint project proposals, many of which have become fruitful collaborations and common projects; as our two networks merged, we have jointly produced many beautiful ideas and innovative solutions for the Textile, Clothing, Leather, and Footwear (TCLF) sectors, in Europe and beyond (in Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia).

The training course “Principles of Instructional Design for e-Learning” provides an introduction to e-learning characteristics, benefits, activities and resources needed to design and develop an e-learning project. It focuses on the main steps for the design: the needs, target and ask/topic analysis, the definition of learning objectives, sequencing, choice of learning strategies, storyboarding techniques and delivery formats.

Autobiographical methodologies represent a very important teaching method in non-formal and informal education; narrating own story is, actually, a way to enhance life experiences, which also produces implicit learning outcomes. The training course “Autobiographical Methodologies in Adult Education” offers to trainers the know-how to help learners to transform their own experiences into learning opportunities – starting from a picture or a personal object, to see recognised their informal learning outcomes and to deepen their own passion towards specific fields of study.

The main objective of the course “Gender Mainstreaming in Education and Training” is to make lifelong learning, education and training experts active players in supporting the implementation of gender mainstreaming in training activities. To this scope, participants are taught about the basic theoretical concept of gender mainstreaming and its most recent evolution in the European Union and they get familiar with practical methods and tools supporting the concrete implementation of gender mainstreaming in training activities designing, implementation and evaluation.

The course “European Projects Planning” provides information and tools to get familiar with the opportunities the European Commission offers to develop structured projects at international level. Participants acquire specific know how on tools needed to design effective project proposals, and to build European partnerships and internalisation processes.
